The Secret Supper Club invitation
Intrigue was central to the success of this invitation to the Secret Supper Club, a fundraising event offering a select group of guests a glimpse of Oxfam’s impact around the world. Oxfam was concerned both that people open the invitation and go on to sign up to the event. The solution was a double teaser, with the outside of the mailer concealing the nature of the event, and the design emphasising its unknown aspects, only to be revealed on the night. A striking black background contrasts with the busy detail of the world map, suggesting endless possibilities. The approach helped earn pledges of over £120,000 to support Oxfam’s work worldwide.
